I am a passionate and dynamic individual with uniquely varied experience. Design is one of the things that roots me in life and creativity is something I prize above all else. I live to create. I thrive in expressing myself and finding ways to help others express their true vision as well. In a world that is filled with artificiality, I strive to show the beauty that exists in authenticity and unapologetically being yourself. Bringing passion to my work as a designer, I want to help present the passion of my clients, team, and audiences to the world through design.

My mom said I was potty trained in a day. True story. Learning new skills and absorbing new ideas quickly has always been one of my greatest strengths. Whether it's learning how to build websites or other important skills, I'm adept at understanding concepts and ideas quickly in order to apply them to real world situations and overcome challenges. The best part is that I no longer require Cherrio's as positive reinforcement.
Master of anything under my skills list, but wait, there's more! While stock photo modeling and voice acting won't quite make it on my list of skills, it still happened at one point or another during my design career. Some situations require creative solutions, and, albeit, unorthodox methods to overcoming challenges. It can also be a ton of fun to do things outside of your comfort zone or usual routine. Branching out and experimenting always gets your creative juices flowing!
One of the more niche areas of design I am interested is in brand packaging. Taking apart basic shapes and creating my own flat die-cuts comes naturally, and the combination of my love of branding leads me to do weird things like collecting candy wrappers and tea boxes I find inspiring. While package design is not something I have had the opportunity to explore outside of my time as a student, the appreciation for industry trends and the amazing things designers are capable of out in the world is something I keep in my heart as I contribute my own passion to my projects.
One of the ways I stay fulfilled in my creative career is by also pursuing creative interests outside of my job. I learned how to sew from my mom and made my first quilt at the age of 5. As an adult, I've found many diverse ways to further my creative skills and express myself outside the office. I also still dabble in fine art, with my first love being mixed media paintings and drawings, as well as objet trouvé (found-object) sculpture. Through mentoring fellow and aspiring designers, I also find a way to uplift the artistic community as a whole and stretch my creative muscles in new ways.
As someone who minored in popular culture, I love taking that understanding of media, its use and composition, into my design work. Movie posters and cinematography are huge sources of inspiration for me. Incorporating my established interests is an easy way to connect to my passion and creativity. Whether it was creating a mock magazine cover with my favorite celebrity on it, or creating an abstract logo of my favorite animal, I had a lot of opportunities to connect my passions to my projects. I find the creative drive and inspiration flow easiest, even beyond my own niche interests, after finding at least one or two things to be fascinated by or passionate about in my project work and client missions.
I thrive under structured environments that provide flexibility when needed. With a wealth of experience under my belt, I am able to produce high-quality creative work independently under time constraints and strict guidelines. I continue to seek to improve the efficacy of my designs for project KPIs through constructive criticism and open feedback loops. Creativity, to me, is a product of inspiration, skill, and play; project work isn't confined to when I'm sitting in front of my computer with my programs open. Living a creative life is always my first step in being a creative leader; letting myself get absorbed into creative passion, my creative gears are easy to get moving since they never get turned off.
